Nintendo finally releases its 2025 Year in Review—here’s how to check yours
The recap reveals your Switch stats and reflects a transitional year for Nintendo.

Why do year-end recaps always come out in December? Is it simply because of the dates—because it’s the end of the year? After all, we continue to consume entertainment throughout December. Year-in-review features have always fallen a month short of what we actually experienced during the year, and this time, Nintendo waited to show us how we played in 2025.

The recap begins with the first title you played on Nintendo Switch—and, if applicable, Nintendo Switch 2—followed by the total number of games played on your console, the number of hours logged, and your most-played titles. It also highlights your “gaming style” by categorizing the games you played throughout the year.
The Year in Review also shows which month you spent the most time playing, along with detailed statistics for each game and each month. As if that weren’t enough, the experience wraps up with the option to download a shareable “summary” featuring your personal stats, perfect for posting on social media or sharing with friends and family.

With monthly releases starting in April—ranging from Mario Kart World to Metroid Prime 4—we’ve gradually seen the possibilities of a console that has already demonstrated strong sales, even if its library is still relatively limited.
