Nintendo Switch 2 is claimed to be unveiled in a matter of hours and given date, price and first games

There is even talk of a new Mario and some highly acclaimed third-party ports like Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Nintendo Switch 2

We are not going to say that it is the soap opera of the summer, because it is also the soap opera of the spring, fall, and winter. We have been talking about the successor to Nintendo Switch for a long time, and although it is official that it will be announced before the end of the fiscal year (the last day of March), pay attention to the information shared by VGC after echoing what was discussed in the popular video game podcast Nate the Hate: Nintendo Switch 2 will be presented on Thursday, January 16, according to the head of the program.

We can’t say for sure, so we’ll just have to wait and see; if it turns out that Nintendo’s new console will be officially announced on Thursday, we’ll be here to tell you all about it, of course. In the meantime, all we can do is take a look at the alleged announcements that Nathe the Hate is previewing, since he is not content with the date of the presentation, he also dares with the first games.

The Nintendo Switch 2 would arrive with a new Mario Kart, as well as ports of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. In addition, the bombshell of the 2025 stretch would be nothing less than a new 3D Mario, taking advantage of the fact that eight years have passed since the release of Super Mario Odyssey. That doesn’t sound too bad, does it? We also have a list of things we want to see in Switch 2, such as new remakes and achievements!

How much will the Nintendo Switch 2 cost?

This is the million dollar question every time a new console is released, because costs go up and precedents are not always reliable. Just today, a French retailer called Micromania ensures that the price of Nintendo Switch 2 will be $399 and that the games will go up in price to $80, as in many cases of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This retailer speaks of 25 launch games (counting multiplatform) and agrees with Nate the Hate that Mario Kart 9 (called Rainbow Road) will be one of them.

Soon - or not - we will find out what is true in all these statements. Next stop: Thursday, January 16th, and if nothing happens that day, new rumors will appear on Friday...
