Nintendo Switch 2 stock arrives at US retailers; leaked images also surface in Japan and Hong Kong

With less than ten days until the official launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, images of the console have surfaced at Target stores, confirming that retailers are stocking up ahead of release. The photos, originally posted on Reddit, showed Switch 2 units locked inside a cage, but the post was quickly deleted, sparking speculation about whether the leak was accidental or intentional.

Retail packaging samples appear in Hong Kong

Retailers in Hong Kong have started receiving packaging samples for Nintendo Switch 2 products, offering a first look at how the console and accessories will be presented. The packaging is slightly smaller than the Switch OLED box, despite the larger console body, suggesting that Nintendo has optimized the design for efficiency.

Additionally, images show packaging for official accessories, including controllers and carrying cases, confirming that retailers are preparing for launch day stock.

Stock images surface from Japanese stores

In Japan, retailers have begun stocking Nintendo Switch 2 units, with some stores sharing photos of their inventory. Pre-order posters and promotional materials have also been spotted, indicating that Japanese retailers are preparing for a massive launch.

Reports suggest that over 1.2 million units have been allocated for Japan’s launch, making it one of the biggest console releases in the country’s history.
