Not just GTA 6: 007 First Light is delayed and already has a new release date
IO Interactive decides to move the date of the new James Bond.

The pieces on the 2026 board continue to shift. GTA 6 isn’t the only one that has pushed back its release date beyond its initial forecasts. James Bond is now affected as well. His origin story, 007: First Light, has confirmed a delay that will bring it to market two months later than planned. This comes just weeks after revealing its villain.
This is the new release date for 007: First Light
007: First Light will hit the market on May 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. IO Interactive has cited the ambition of the project as the main reason for the date change. It must live up to expectations.

“The game is progressing well and is fully playable from beginning to end, so these additional two months will allow us to further polish and refine the experience, ensuring we deliver the strongest possible launch version at launch,” the Nordic studio explained in a statement. “We’re confident this sets 007: First Light up for long-term success, and we sincerely appreciate the patience and continued support we’ve received ever since revealed the game.”

The team will reveal more about the game in “early 2026,” although there is really little left to discover. What is still up in the air is the intro song. Rumors suggest that Lana del Rey will be responsible for providing the voice for the start of this James Bond game.
