Star Wars
One of the latest Star Wars games announces its final closure
Hunters is a free-to-play, free-to-download game for Nintendo Switch, PC, and iOS and Android devices.

Star Wars: Hunters was released less than a year ago, but its fate has already been decided and the Force has not accompanied it. The game as a service edited by Zynga will close its servers on October 1, as the publisher itself announced in a statement. Before that happens, fans of the title will be able to download the latest update, which will be released on October 15 for free on all platforms.
“April 15th, 2025 – Final content update will be released for free and in-game purchases will be disabled," the release begins. “You will still be able to play the title, and the newest Hunter, Tuya will be available and playable for all users immediately at no cost. The game will remain playable until October 1st, 2025.″ After that, it will not be possible to play in any mode.
What will happen to in-app purchases?
As Zynga explains in the FAQ section of their website, they have announced their decision 30 days before in-app purchases will no longer be available to give users the opportunity to “maximize the Arena Pass” before the season ends. The publisher also points out that it will not be possible to get a refund for crystals purchased and not used, as the company believes there is still time to use them. On the other hand, Hunters will still be available in stores until the final shutdown.
Star Wars: Hunters is available as a free-to-play game on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Nintendo Switch and PC. Star Wars Outlaws, another recent title in the saga, also failed to meet sales expectations.
