‘One Piece’ and NFL’s Los Angeles Rams team up for special event during game
The best football league and the most popular manga in the world will work together in one game.
The most popular manganime and the most prominent football league on the planet come together in a strange and special collaboration. ‘One Piece’ and the NFL will hold a special event during a game, a collaboration between the manga created by Eiichiro Oda and the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, which will take place on Sunday, December 3rd at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The game between the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns will unite the NFL with the world of manga and anime. Digital posters throughout SoFi Stadium will introduce ‘One Piece’ to the public, as well as the team’s specially themed website, and special giveaways from the series, such as clear bags or a sports towel, will be given to the first 10,000 attendees at the game. An original video from One Piece will be broadcast during the game, another example of the enormous impact that the manganime world is having in today’s world, and we do not rule out more collaborations between the two worlds. Franchises such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have embraced the spirit of piracy proposed by the series, and others such as the Los Angeles Chargers have made several nods to the anime in the presentation of their off-season calendars.
‘One Piece’ enters its final phase
A legendary series that has been with us for over 26 years. Eiichiro Oda’s manga has already entered its final saga, the eleventh in the series will mark the end of one of the most outstanding works of our time. A journey that will surely take us to more than three decades since its original publication, and although it is the final saga, there are still many arcs and mysteries to be solved, so the most intense moments of ‘One Piece’ are yet to come.
From the Netflix live-action series, to the 25th anniversary of the manga, to everything that is happening around ‘One Piece’ and its regular publication, Eiichiro Oda’s moment is intense, and as the end approaches, it seems to be even more so. Collaborations of all kinds and a phenomenon that everyone will end up hearing about, and that is that even the NFL is echoing what the world’s most popular manga is all about.
