‘One Piece’ and Spalding launch basketball collab with Devil Fruit designs and iconic scenes
Spalding’s latest collection brings ‘One Piece’s’ Devil Fruits to the court, with gear inspired by the anime’s most beloved characters and moments.
Spalding has teamed up with 'One Piece’ for a new line of basketball gear that blends anime flair with court-ready design. Released on July 4, the collection includes Devil Fruit-themed basketballs, apparel, accessories, and even mini hoops featuring the Straw Hat crew.
What’s in the collection?
The highlight is a trio of Size 7 basketballs, each modeled after a different Devil Fruit:
- Gomu Gomu no Mi (Luffy): Purple ball with Luffy on the front and One Piece logo on the back
- Mera Mera no Mi (Ace): Fiery orange design featuring Ace
- Hito Hito no Mi (Chopper): Pink ball with Chopper’s signature hat and logo
Each retails for ¥6,930 ($43-45 USD) and is made of synthetic leather for indoor/outdoor play.
Other items include:
- Mini hoops with Straw Hat crew artwork
- Backpacks and tote bags themed around each Devil Fruit
- T-shirts and shorts in adult and junior sizes, featuring ball prints and character logos
- Keychains shaped like the Devil Fruits
One standout item is the Luffy & Shanks basketball, which depicts the iconic scene where Shanks passes his straw hat to Luffy. It’s available in rubber material for ¥3,960 ($25-28 USD).
