Nakamas! It’s time to get ready for the Grand Line. Netflix has released the first teaser for the start of production on One Piece Season 2, showing the return of the Going Merry crew for their next adventure.

With a video released on social media, Netflix announces that One Piece Season 2 is starting production with a video that follows Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar’s travel from different cities to Cape Town, South Africa to meet in the set of Going Merry and continue their journey to the Grand Line. Watch out for Mackenyu’s long journey, which pays tribute to Zoro’s disorientation.

One Piece expands its cast for season 2

Recently, Netflix also gave the announcement of the new cast members joining the production this season with some members of the criminal organization Baroque Works such as Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson in the role of Mr. 5, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9 and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3.

Among other selected characters, we have a number of supporting characters and antagonists well known to anime and manga fans. With the following actors joining the cast:

  • Crocus - Clive Russell
  • Dorry - Werner Coetser
  • Brogy - Brendan Murray
  • Smoker - Callum Kerr
  • Tashigi - Julia Rehwald
  • Wapol - Rob Colletti
  • Dalton - Ty Keogh

With One Piece Season 2 starting production and some names still to be announced (heck, we still don’t know who will play Robin, Vivi or Crocodile), it’s hard to know when we’ll see the crew in action again. But we can only hope that it will be very soon.
