One Piece final trailer on Netflix will bring a tear to any fan of the series
One day before its premiere on Netflix, the live-action One Piece series releases a final trailer and letter from Eiichiro Oda, urging you to give it a chance.
“I made very few concessions.” This is how categorical Eiichiro Oda is in the letter that accompanies the final trailer of the One Piece live-action (below these lines). The Mangaka remembers how much he was on top of the series and quotes Whitebeard himself when he assured that he never ran away from a fight. If he had to push and put his hand in, he did. Perhaps that is why there is a halo of hope surrounding the project, which will attempt to break the curse that follows live-action adaptations of manga and anime.
“I am sure that, after its premiere, some will comment that a character is missing, a scene or that there are small details other than the manga,” Oda says. “But I know those comments will come from his love for One Piece, so I’ll try to enjoy even those comments. By now, I admire the production team and cast so much that I can’t wait for them to receive the recognition they deserve from the entire world. And if someone has a complaint, I will be by the side of the whole team to receive it!”
Premiering this August 31st, it’s all aboard the Going Merry! We choose to believe in (G)Oda.
