One Piece

‘One Piece' manga to take a long break after chapter 1111

Eiichiro Oda’s work is living its most intense moment but will take a break after the next chapter.

‘One Piece’ is currently experiencing the most intense moment in its history, and that’s no small thing when we’re talking about a work that came out in 1997. With the manga and anime entering the final saga, specifically in the Egghead arc, the first of this final stage and which exceeds all expectations that could have been deposited in the arc that represents the beginning of the end.

Chapter 1110 was one of the most spectacular so far, and although there will be no break before the release of 1111, we will have to wait three weeks after that until we can officially read 1112 on April 21st. What happens after that? 1113 will come out without a break, but after that, there will be a week off, in this case for Golden Week in Japan, which runs from April 29th to May 5th and is the longest holiday in the Asian country.

What is the reason for this break? There is nothing official, but one of the most commented causes by the followers of the work is that the death of Akira Toriyama has led Shonen Jump, the magazine that publishes One Piece and in which Dragon Ball was published, to make the decision to give the work and Eiichiro Oda a break due to the emotional impact that his death may have had. A period of rest and reflection after which the story of Luffy and friends will continue.

One Piece and the most intense moment in its long history.

The manga is experiencing a moment of maximum interest as the Five Elders of the Gorosei show their true and terrifying form in Egghead. It has been almost 22 years since the leaders of the World Government were first seen in ‘One Piece’ in 2002, and back then no one could have guessed that it would be 2024 when we would see them in action for the first time.
