The production company of the series based on such famous manga begins the search for seven performers with very defined characteristics.

Netflix continues to shape the expected second season of ‘One Piece’, the celebrated adaptation of such famous manga and anime by Netflix. And if recently Iñaki Godoy himself hinted at the appearance of a famous villain in the upcoming episodes, now come to light up to seven new characters for which the production of the live-action series is already looking for interpreters, each with well-defined characteristics. This is according to the specialized media What’s on Netflix, an expert site on the productions of the popular streaming platform.

These are the seven new characters of One Piece

These are the seven characters that are already open for casting:

Among the most striking physical characteristics of this casting search is the Latin or Hispanic origin of Robin, a character who, according to Eiichiro Oda, if she were real, would be from Russia, although it is also true that she has tanned skin and long black hair in both the manga and the anime. On the other hand, the original Princess Vivi has a pale appearance, although it seems that for the series they wanted an actress with more Middle Eastern features.

Anyway, we won’t see all these characters - and other prominent ones for the arc to be adapted about which nothing is known yet - until well into 2025, the year in which the second season of ‘One Piece’ will premiere on Netflix.
