Thanksgiving Day

One Piece’s Thanksgiving Float Deflates in the middle of the parade

Monkey D. Luffy turns into Monkey D. Flated on the traditional float parade in New York City. Add trees’s branches to the Devil Fruit’s natural weakness.

Aside from the turkey and the family gathering, there’s nothing more traditional than the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a New York City event that takes us back to 1924. And this time, we can truly say that it’s One Piece’s year with the addition of a Monkey D. Luffy float in the parade, even though this one might not know what the One Piece is.

As shown on social networks, the float based on Luffy, the protagonist of Eiichiro Oda’s work, met a terrible end during its first parade when the iconic straw hat hit the branches of a tree and began to deflate. Surely the handlers who drove this float didn’t know the significance of the straw hat, and how Luffy is extremely protective of his hat. Let’s hope Shanks doesn’t notice.

We can make a lot of jokes about this incident, considering that Luffy is almost invincible thanks to being a rubber man and that almost everything that attacks him manages to bounce off. However, who would have thought that tree branches would be one of the great natural fears for a Devil Fruit user (besides the sea).

One Piece will have more appearances in real-life

While Luffy’s appearance at the traditional parade in New York is an important step in the world of the manga, it will not be the only one at a special event in the United States. On December 3rd, One Piece will have a special collaboration during the next Los Angeles Rams game against the Cleveland Browns at SoFi Stadium. The collaboration will include a dedicated website for the team, and special giveaways from the series, such as clear bags or a sports towel, will be given to the first 10,000 attendees at the game. In addition, an original One Piece video will be shown during the game.
