Overwatch 2 is getting a Transformers crossover with Optimus Rein and Mega-ttra

Transformers is bringing some of its most famous Autobots and Decepticons to Overwatch 2 through a new crossover available July 9, 2024. Teased at the start of Season 11, a pair of new trailers released today confirm both who will be coming to the game through the special skins, as well as Blizzard Entertainment’s commitment to producing and releasing some amazingly animated trailers for its collaborations.

The above trailer shows off the four skins in action in and around the world of Overwatch, but the one below actually gives you a good look at how they will all look in-game. Optimus Prime will be making an appearance as a Reinhardt skin, followed side by side by Bumblebee (Bastion) and Arcee (Illari). On the other side of the coin you have the Decepticon leader, Megatron himself, brought to life fittingly as a Ramattra skin.

Each skin will be available to purchase individually, although as usual they will be available at a discounted price through an official Overwatch 2 xTransformers Mega Bundle. However, no details about their pricing have been revealed at the time of writing, as the event goes live later today. There will also be free rewards available for every player, which include Transformers-themed player icons, name cards, and titles, available to earn up until July 22, which is when the collab is set to end.
