Overwatch "Space Ranger" finally has a name; meet Juno, the newest support character

Juno will make her official debut in Overwatch Season 12.

No more “Space Ranger”. Blizzard has made official Juno, the next support character coming to ‘Overwatch 2′ that was briefly teased during BlizzCon 2023.

In a short skills trailer, we see Juno arrive on Earth, but more importantly, we can use her in a trial period starting tomorrow. This weekend, from July 19-21, Overwatch 2 players will be able to access the character in all game modes except Competitive.

What skills does Juno have?

As you can see in the teaser trailer, Juno uses her spatial abilities to be a support player who is not afraid to go on the offensive. Her main weapon, the Mediablaster, allows her to heal or attack, depending on who you aim it at. On the other hand, we have her Glide Boost, an ability that seems to allow her to levitate for a limited time. Her other attack, Pulsar Torpedoes, appears to be a more charged version of Mediablaster.

She also has the Hyper Ring, which throws a ring that allows players who pass through it to move faster, similar to the Ultimate that Kimiko throws. Finally, we have her Ultimate, the Orbital Beam, which she uses to shoot from a space station to a specific point on the map, dealing a debuff to enemies while giving a buff to Juno’s equipment and restoring her energy.

For now, we will have to wait for Blizzard to reveal more details about Juno, her abilities, and most importantly, her story.

When does Season 12 start?

Juno is a character that will not make her debut until Season 12, which kicks off on August 20th. For now, Season 11, Super Mega Ultrawatch, which not only adapts the Super Sentai concept to Overwatch characters, but also has an interesting collaboration with Transformers, adding Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Arcee, as well as Megatron.
