Path of Exile 2 gives Diablo 4 a scare, confirms first major racing event with hefty rewards
Players will race against each other and against the clock to be the first to gain as much experience as possible.
Diablo 4 finds in Path of Exile 2 its biggest rival in the action RPG field, which is expected to dominate Blizzard’s giant. Developed by Grinding Gear Games, the game is still in paid early access and will follow the same free-to-play model as the original once it is released. After just over 10 weeks on the market, the team has already confirmed the date of its first major racing event.
These are the dates and times of the races
- Race 1: March 2 at 11:00 AM PST
- Race 2: March 9 at 12:00 PM PDT
- Race 3: March 16 at 12:00 PM PDT
Remember that the races require you to create a character from scratch at the start of the competition. From that moment on, all participants must gain as much experience as possible by the end of the race. It is a tough competition that requires a thorough knowledge of enemies, level design, and how to optimize your chosen class. However, the competition will be class-based: the first Mercenary will receive one reward, while the first Witch will receive another.
The reward is the unique Demigod’s Virtue item, a helmet that increases the occurrence of rare items by 25%. Meanwhile, the final race is getting a little more exciting. The winner on March 16 will receive an Alienware m16 R2 laptop with in-game artwork.
