At release, Payday 3 came with plenty of issues that drove a large number of players away. There were constant matchmaking issues since the servers opened up, and the devs had to rush to upgrade the servers in the middle of an international launch. Things seemed to be pretty bad, but after a week they managed to stabilize the game.
Ever since then they’ve been working on the title’s first big update, which they promised would address the biggest problems the title has been facing. After being delayed a couple of times, update 1.01 is now available for players to download, and the notes seem to indicate that they really have tackled most of the issues, bugs, and errors that plagued the game up until now.
“The first patch for PAYDAY 3 is finally here, we’re looking at a massive amount of fixes to make your heisting a smoother experience,” says the post by Almir Listo of Starbreeze. “After some instability, we’re finally up and running as things should be! Heisters heisting, civilians screaming and cops floundering! We’ve got a lot more cooking, keep letting us know when you find bugs and sending us your suggestions!”
