‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 gets its first teaser, full of the same level of brutality we expect from it
It’s only a few seconds of footage, but that’s enough to find out that John Cena is bringing all of the brutality back for Peacemaker Season 2
Since James Gunn took the reins of DC Studios, the tables have been changing little by little. The mind behind ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ captured his know-how with an electric and shameless series in ‘Peacemaker’. The second season lurks on the horizon and the production company has already shown the first footage for it as part of a highlight reel promo for upcoming HBO shows. You can see near the end of the video below.
‘Peacemaker’ returns for a second season
During the small piece of footage, we can confirm that gore and brutality will continue to be the trademark of the house. The first season did not leave anyone indifferent in this sense, and it seems that Gunn has understood the fans’ message: they want to continue receiving content under the same tone and form.
“No matter how far away we are from each other… No one will ever break us apart! Says John Cena in a voice-over, with the actor seemingly continuing to be in top-notch form for his role as the antihero alongside Jennifer Holland (Emilia Harcourt) and Freddie Stroma (Adrian Chase).
At the moment the date on which the season will premiere on Max has not been revealed. The last we heard about the series dates back to last June when the production company revealed that they were in the middle of the recording process. It is clear that ‘Peacemaker’ is an important bullet to fire in Warner Discovery’s revolver during 2025 along with other series such as the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, the highly anticipated spin-off off of ‘Game of Thrones’ that adapts another of George R.R. Martin’s works.
