Pixar boss shares initial plans for ‘Inside Out 3’ after the massive success of the previous sequel

One of the biggest successes of the film industry in recent years has been ‘Inside Out 2′, the most recent Pixar movie that quickly became the highest-grossing animated film in the history of cinema. Pete Docter, creative director at Pixar, and a figure of enormous importance in the company, spoke with Fandango about the ideas they are thinking about for the third film in the saga.

“We’re in the same place we were after [Inside Out]. We’re just like, “Okay, well if we were going to do something, what would it be?” And we’re kind of just thinking of ideas. Who knows?” In addition, he continued talking about the ideas they had when making the first sequel and the great world to work on: “I would love for it to feel as though out of this vast world we only saw like three percent and the rest of it is still out there. So, there’s a lot to explore, a lot of things that we played with in the first movie or the second movie that didn’t work for story reasons — [they] didn’t fit thematically — so we have a lot to play with.”

‘Inside Out 3′ seems like a matter of time

A saga completely established in the film industry and, although it is not official, it seems a fact that it is only a matter of time before the third installment of ‘Inside Out’ is confirmed. A film of enormous potential that aims to continue exploring such a prominent topic as emotions and mental health, with several generations of viewers enjoying the film.
