PlayStation considers delaying PS6 until 2029, and Nintendo does not rule out raising the price of Switch 2 due to RAM and AI
According to Bloomberg, both companies are studying measures to alleviate the crisis.

The commitment of large technology companies to AI centers is causing a shortage of RAM. Prices have risen to historic highs, and the situation does not appear to be changing in the near future. Faced with this prospect, companies such as Sony and Nintendo are beginning to take action, according to Bloomberg.
According to sources consulted by this media outlet, Sony is considering delaying the PS6 until 2028 or 2029, which would pose a problem, as the Japanese company had designed a strategy to transition from the current hardware to the new hardware.

Nintendo’s president has already hinted at a possible price increase
On the other hand, Nintendo is also considering the option of raising the price of Switch 2, a possibility that the company’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, has not ruled out at any time: “If this rise in component prices lasts longer than expected and runs through the next fiscal year and beyond, it may put pressure on profitability. If the situation deteriorates significantly, we will carefully assess market trends and respond,” he said in a question-and-answer session with shareholders.
