Pokémon Champions is official: Trailer and first details of the spiritual successor to Pokémon Stadium
A trailer full of nostalgia confirms the new project of the Pokémon saga, a classic multiplayer combat.

The latest installment of Pokémon Presents has left us with one of the most unexpected surprises: a new installment focused on fighting. Pokémon Champions is official, and it comes with a trailer that nostalgically recalls afternoons spent competing against friends to be the best in the arena. There is life beyond Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
First details on Pokémon Champions
At the moment, very few details are known about the project, which is still in development. We know that it will come to the Nintendo Switch family of consoles and mobile devices (iOS and Android), which leaves the door open to also have a native version on Nintendo Switch 2. It will be a game focused on the type of combat seen in the main installments, giving continuity to the brand without serving as a mere experimental spin-off. Two mechanics will be present: the Mega and the Terastallization phenomenon.
The progress and approach of the Pokédex is still up in the air. It has been confirmed that it will be compatible with Pokémon Home. We will be able to transfer our Pokémon from two specific versions: Pokémon GO and Ninth Generation (Pokémon Scarlet and Violet). Nor has it been revealed whether it will be free to play or will have a paywall to access.
The game is inevitably reminiscent of classics like Pokémon Stadium. This is the tone that the show takes, where we can see a double battle in a special arena. This is how the publisher describes it: “This new battle-focused title will feature familiar mechanics such as Pokémon types, abilities and moves, and will create a space for both experienced and novice trainers to explore a variety of strategies. There is also talk of “multi-platform battles,” suggesting cross-play.
