Pokémon Fire Red & Leaf Green, Pokémon Presents, and more as part of Pokémon Day 2026 celebrations
We are one week away from Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

Plans for Pokémon Day have been revealed, and there is much to celebrate. This morning, The Pokémon Company unveiled its plans for February 27, and there is certainly a lot to look forward to, considering the 30th anniversary of the brand.
We begin with the release of Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green for the Nintendo Switch. This enhanced version of Pokémon Red and Green for the Game Boy Advance in 2004 will be available as a digital download. It will allow us to revisit the original Kanto region in an enhanced form on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Both titles will be available on February 27 at a price of $20 each. You can watch the very nostalgic trailer below:
Pokémon Presents in the morning
As it is now tradition, and we just had to wait for the schedule to be announced, Pokémon Presents will be presented on February 27. This stream, which has been part of the Pokémon Day celebrations, will be broadcast on Pokémon’s YouTube and Twitch channels at the following times in the United States:
- 9:00 ET
- 8:00 CT
- 6:00 PT
For now, it remains to be seen what will be revealed in this presentation. Perhaps more details about Pokémon XP and the Pokémon World Championships, which will be held in San Francisco.
