Pokémon GO winks at Pokémon Sword and Shield: Galar’s Pokédex and the Dynamax Phenomenon Arrive

The “Max Out” season of Pokémon GO finally introduces Pokémon from Galar, in addition to the star feature introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

No, Niantic hasn’t forgotten about Galar. The next season of Pokémon GO, called “Max Out,” will feature the main elements that made Pokémon Sword and Shield in 2019. While we cannot reveal all of the new features at this time, we can tell you the two key pieces of what looks to be an exciting round of content for fans. All of the above will be available starting at 10:00 a.m. local time on September 3.

Galar and the Dynamax phenomenon are finally coming to Pokémon GO

It has to be said that Niantic’s move with Galar was a bit strange. The ninth-generation Pokédex has passed him by on the right. Despite a small presence of its native Pokémon, such as the Galar form of Meowth, Wooloo, and Skwovet (among others, rounding out the current 20 present), the regional Pokédex has not had the official debut that fans have been dreaming of. Now it’s official, starting with the first Pokémon: Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny. As the season progresses, there will be events dedicated to other local Pokémon that will be added to the game.

The Dynamax phenomenon will be added to the game with gameplay systems that influence Pokémon GO systems at all levels, both in terms of exploration and combat. To share the details with you, we will have to wait for a date close to its launch, but we can assure you that it is not a trivial mechanic for Niantic. There is very little left to discover in one of the most exciting seasons for Pokémon GO fans around the world.
