On December 10, 2025, Mega Dimension, the first—and so far only—story DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, will be released. In this article, we’ll give you everything you need to know including price, content, and how to start the expansion if you finally decide to dive into the postgame of Hyperspace Lumiose.

The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A is available on both versions of the game—Nintendo Switch and Switch 2—from Wednesday, December 10, 2025. It is a story expansion that offers dozens of hours of gameplay, a new narrative thread after the end of the main plot, and many returning Pokémon that we can catch. It costs $29.99.
In this downloadable content, players will have to investigate the dimensional distortions appearing throughout Lumiose City and explore Hyperspace Lumiose, a newly discovered area formed by these phenomena. Anya, the donut chef, and her partner, the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, will guide players through this distorted version of the city.
Hyperspace Lumiose is inhabited by Pokémon that are not usually seen in the standard version of the city, including some that have a Dimensional Level, which exceeds the classic Level 100 limit. To uncover all the mysteries of this terrifying place and deal with everything that is happening, we will have the help of allies such as Corelia and Team MZ.
Aside from being able to catch Pokémon from previous installments that are available for the first time in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, another major new feature is the many new Mega Evolutions of popular and beloved Pokémon, such as Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Chimecho, Mega Baxcalibur, and Mega Zeraora, among others.
Keep in mind, however, that Mega Dimension will not be available right at the start of the adventure. It poses a significant challenge and is, for all intents and purposes, the game’s postgame, which is why we won’t be able to access this expansion until we have completed Main Mission 38, which is the last one in the base game’s story.
How to access the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, step-by-step guide
Below are the steps to follow to access the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The first step is, obviously, to access the Nintendo eShop, purchase the expansion, and install it. To ensure that it has been installed correctly, the message “Downloadable content installed” should appear at the bottom right of the title screen.
We open the game and resume our play. As soon as we enter, we should receive a notification that a new Side Mission is available on the roof of Hotel Z, located in the Green District: Sector 8, southeast of the city. We enter the hotel lobby, head to the elevator, and select “Roof.” Here, a cutscene will begin, after which the chain of missions will automatically start, allowing us to enter Hyperspace Lumiose and enjoy all its new features.
