New Mega Evolutions, mysterious distortions, and Hoopa’s return await in this ambitious DLC adventure.

An in-depth look at what players can expect from the upcoming downloadable content, Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension debuted this morning. This major DLC will introduce a mysterious new area, powerful new Pokémon, and an immediate incentive for players to jump back into the base game.

The main adventure kicks off when strange spatial distortions begin to form around the familiar streets of Lumiose City. To investigate, players will partner with the dedicated Team MZ and new allies, including the donut chef Ansha and the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa. Ansha’s unique, berry-infused donuts are essential, as they awaken Hoopa’s powers, transforming the distortions into crucial portals to the enigmatic Hyperspace Lumiose.

Venturing into Hyperspace and High-Level Battles

Hyperspace Lumiose is an alternate dimension, an extremely challenging environment, home to newly discovered Mega-Evolved Pokémon and other creatures not normally found in the region. A key detail s is that some of these Pokémon can exceed the normal level cap, possessing hyperspace levels that go beyond Lv. 100.

To tackle these formidable foes, Ansha’s donuts are indispensable. She can use different kinds of Berries to craft donuts that provide powerful effects in hyperspace, such as boosting your Pokémon’s stats. For the highest-level encounters, players will need to collect the more potent Hyperspace Berries.

The investigation is further supported by Korrina, a known authority and successor to a line of Mega Evolution gurus, who joins Team MZ determined to catalog every Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Together, players will work to uncover the secrets behind the strange events plaguing Lumiose City.

New Mega Evolutions and Immediate Content

The DLC introduces two spectacular new Mega Evolutions set to shake up the competitive landscape: Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur.

Mega Chimecho becomes a powerhouse of sound. When it Mega Evolves, six smaller copies appear, resonating with Chimecho’s cry to create an intense sound-wave attack that can overwhelm any opposing Pokémon. Mega Baxcalibur becomes even more physically imposing. The Mega Evolution increases its ice energy and causes the back blade to grow larger and far more powerful. This augmented blade allows Mega Baxcalibur to cleave or smash nearly anything in its path with sheer weight and force.
