Pokémon Scarlet and Violet confirm the anime’s new creature is in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

The Pokémon Company has wasted no time in confirming that the recently revealed Pokémon in the new anime, Pokémon Horizons, will be in the Scarlet and Violet expansions.

Pokémon Scarlet and Purple continues its path to The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, its chain of expansions that it will receive over the next few months. The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, which are how Part I and Part II of the DLC are called, has revealed an unprecedented Pokémon of which we now know the first details.

This is the new Pokémon that will debut in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

This Pokémon will not go unnoticed for viewers of the new adventure in the anime of the franchise, where this mysterious creature was revealed during the first episode of the series. The Pokémon Company has made its incorporation into the PokéDex official with a brief description of its nature. Of course, its name remains a mystery.

“This unknown Pokémon is reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, but its name and true nature are shrouded in mystery. It is small in stature and not particularly strong, but when push comes to shove, it can crystallize the energy in its body to form a protective shield. Apparently, it can also assume a dormant state when it feels that its life is in danger by pulling its head, limbs, and tail into its shell and making itself look like a jewel.”

The similarities with Terapagos, the legendary Pokémon that will be featured in the expansions, are evident, something that even the studio itself points out in their official post on Twitter.

We’ll have to wait for future dates to know in detail the connection between this Pokémon and Terapagos. At the moment, the Pokémon Scarlet and Purple calendar is distributed in two launch frames. Part 1: The Teal Mask will arrive this fall, while Part 2: The Indigo Disk will do the same in winter. We will travel to the LAnd of Kitakani and Blueberry Academy, respectively, to expand the adventure of a groundbreaking generation for the Game Freak formula.
