Pokémon TCG Pocket adds limited-time booster pack for collectors
The new Deluxe Pack: ex provides players a second chance to acquire popular cards from previous expansions.
The Pokémon Company group has announced a new limited-time booster pack for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket called the “Deluxe Pack: ex.” This special pack will be available to players for a limited time, from September 29, 2025, to October 29, 2025, offering collectors a valuable opportunity to acquire cards they may have missed in past releases.
Unlike standard booster packs, each Deluxe Pack: ex contains four cards, with one card guaranteed to be of the ♦♦♦♦ rarity or higher. This gives players a better chance to collect highly sought-after cards. The pack’s card list includes a wide selection of cards from every set since the game’s launch, specifically from Genetic Apex through Wisdom of Sea and Sky. For dedicated collectors, this is a major benefit, as it simplifies the process of completing their card catalog without having to open multiple different types of older packs.
A new look for familiar cards
Beyond offering a second chance at popular cards, the Deluxe Pack: ex will also introduce new cosmetic variants. Certain cards will feature “parallel foil” designs or entirely new illustrations. These new versions give a fresh look to existing cards, allowing players to not only fill gaps in their collection but also to customize their decks with unique, eye-catching artwork. The introduction of these new designs highlights the game’s commitment to providing new and exciting ways to engage with classic cards.
The arrival of the Deluxe Pack: ex is part of a series of upcoming in-app events scheduled for October. Players can participate in the Raichu ex Drop Event from October 5 to October 15, where they can earn special promo packs through solo battles. A Bonus Week will also run from October 11 to October 18, featuring missions that award pack hourglasses and other helpful items. Additionally, a Wonder Pick Event featuring promo cards of Shaymin and Absol will be active from October 12 to October 22, and a Parallel Foil Cards Mass Outbreak Event will take place from October 22 to October 28, where new foil cards will appear more frequently in Rare Picks and Bonus Picks. These events are designed to complement the release of the Deluxe Pack: ex and provide a month full of activities for players.
