Pokémon TCG Pocket breaks $200 million in its first month, according to estimates

We keep opening booster packs, hoping for a new card.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has taken mobile users by surprise, and the chime that announces that a new booster pack can be opened is now the Pavlovian response to add to our card collection. Given the huge impact the game has had, it’s no surprise that within a month of its release, sales estimates that the game have already surpassed $200 million.

According to AppMagic’s estimates, the digital card game reached $208 million in revenue on November 29, one month after its launch on October 30. Despite its free-to-play nature, the game has reached a large number of users who have decided to earn their Pokedollars, allowing the app to generate an average of about $6.5 million per day. According to estimates, the game’s best period so far was due to the Fire Pokémon Mass Outbreak event on November 22nd.

In weekly estimates, Pokémon TCG Pocket has seen an increase throughout the month, with the week of November 13th being the best so far with $51.1 million in sales. The top three countries spending the most on the title were revealed to be Japan, the United States and Taiwan.
