The beaches of the Alola region are the focus of the third major expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Celestial Guardians brings us to the seventh generation with two thematic packs starring the massive Solgaleo and Lunala. Following the special sets Triumphant Light and Shining Revelry, the new large batch takes the baton from Space-Time Smackdown.

Date and first confirmed cards of Celestial Guardians, the new expansion of Pokémon TCG Pocket

Celestial Guardians will be released on April 30. As mentioned, it will arrive with two booster packs: one starring Solgaleo and one starring Lunala, the two seventh-generation Legendaries. Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio will begin the numbering of their cards, as they are the first entries in the regional Pokédex.

DeNa will hold a “half year anniversary” event while the expansion is in the spotlight. Although the exact date has not yet been revealed, we know that we will be able to obtain items such as the spectacular Rayquaza EX full-art alternative card.

Among the cards confirmed in the trailer, there are many unpublished supporters. One example is Mallow, which heals all damage to one of your Shiinotic or Tsareena in exchange for discarding all its energies. There is plenty of room to play with Pokémon from the Alola Dex.

What will happen to the Shining Revelry packs?

Until now, Shining Revelry was the last available set, but the new expansion will soon overshadow it. As with the other expansions, you can continue opening booster packs if you wish. Remember that, starting April 30, you can exchange its cards with other players through the in-game system.
