Pokémon Worlds Night announced for Oracle Park ahead of 2026 Pokémon World Championships
The themed Giants game is part of a city-wide celebration leading into the Pokémon World Championships 2026.

Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, set to take place in San Francisco, just in time to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The Pokémon Company International has confirmed that the festivities will extend well beyond the tournament itself and the fan-focused Pokémon XP event. Instead, the entire city will join in the celebration—starting with a special Pokémon Worlds Night at Oracle Park during a San Francisco Giants home game.
When is the game, and what can fans expect from Pokémon Worlds Night?
While the 2026 Pokémon World Championships will run from August 28 to 30, the Pokémon Worlds Night will take place a day earlier, on August 27, transforming Oracle Park into a themed celebration. Similar to past Major League Baseball collaborations with franchises like One Piece and Demon Slayer, this will be a fully themed night designed for fans.
The matchup between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks will feature a variety of Pokémon-themed extras, including in-stadium activities for fans, special surprises throughout the game, and a drone show. One of the highlights of the night will be Pikachu throwing out the ceremonial first pitch—with a little help.
Fans will also be able to purchase a special event ticket, which includes an exclusive commemorative Giants jersey celebrating Pokémon Worlds in San Francisco. The jersey will feature Pikachu on the back, along with event-themed details.

For Pokémon GO players, the celebration will extend on the stadium. Attendees can look forward to themed PokéStops and Gyms inspired by the Giants, as well as special routes and raids offering a unique Pikachu with an exclusive Oracle Park-themed Location Background.
Once the game wraps up, the night will end on a high note. As seen during the World Championships in Yokohama and Honolulu, fans will be treated to a Pokémon-themed drone show—an impressive kickoff to a weekend packed with celebrations leading into the tournament.
