PokéPark Kanto, the first Pokémon theme park, confirms its opening date, details, and trailer
The new Pokémon theme park in Japan will allow fans to experience their own adventure as trainers.
About four months ago, during the last Pokémon Presents, plans were announced for a permanent attraction at Yomiuriland amusement park in Inagi, Japan, called PokéPark KANTO. It may seem like more time has passed, but tonight new details were revealed about this theme park, which will allow visitors to experience what it would be like to live in a Pokémon world.
Through a concept trailer, you can see humans and Pokémon living together—and posing—in harmony, with presentations, battles, and more. The video closes with what all fans of pocket monsters have been waiting for: the opening date, which will be much sooner than you expected, February 5, 2026. You can watch the trailer below:
The video description reads as follows: “Play with lots of Pokémon in Pokémon Forest, discover exclusive merchandise at the Pokémon Trainers’ Market, take in a show at the Gym, or go wild at the Battle Court. This 90-second video packs all the fun of PokéPark KANTO into a single take.”
New details and tickets almost on sale
Along with the trailer, the official PokéPark KANTO website has been updated with more information about what fans can expect at the attraction. There will be new exclusive merchandise, bottled drinks inspired by those featured in the video games, and a special show with Pikachu and friends for attendees.
All of this will be located in Sedge Town, while in Pokémon Forest, visitors will be able to explore an area where Pokémon will roam freely.
