Amazon to retire Prime Gaming brand, move benefits to Amazon Luna

Along with these new games, Amazon has announced that its Prime Gaming brand will be retired, though subscribers won’t lose any of the perks tied to the service. Instead, the program will be folded into Amazon Luna, the company’s cloud gaming platform.

According to Amazon, Prime members will continue to enjoy the same benefits they’re used to. That includes one free Twitch channel subscription each month, expanded emote sets, custom chat colors, and extended broadcast storage—features that will still be redeemed the same way as before. Monthly free game giveaways will also remain part of the package.

The move echoes a similar rebranding back in 2020, when Twitch Prime was renamed Amazon Prime Gaming. While the label is changing once again, Amazon insists the overall experience and rewards for Prime subscribers will stay consistent.
