PSA: Beware of Social Media, ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Finale has been leaked

About 30 minutes of various scenes from the final episode have been leaked.

Attention all fans of ‘House of the Dragon’ and the ‘Game of Thrones’ universe. The final episode of Season 2, set to premiere this Sunday, August 4, has been leaked and part of the episode is making the rounds on social media.

According to Variety, several scenes from the season finale of the MAX series were leaked on TikTok Tuesday night. This account, the media outlet reports, contained 14 videos totaling 30 minutes of this season finale. After 3 hours on the network, the account was banned, accumulating between 50,000 and 100,000 views in that time. Despite efforts to delete the content, the videos are now up on both Reddit and X (formerly known as Twitter).

A history of leaks

The popularity of ‘Game of Thrones’ has made the show a phenomenon, breaking ratings records in good times and bad. Despite HBO’s best efforts to prevent leaks ahead of time, the power of the most obsessive fans has managed to completely leak the season finales of both ‘Game of Thrones’ and the finale of Season 1 of ‘House of the Dragon’. With a few days left to wait, all that remains is to follow the usual advice while we wait.
