Radical makeover? This would be the new design of the iPhone 17 Air, according to leaks
A very particular change could be coming in the next generation of iPhones.
Over the years, one of the details that has kept Apple constant is the design that exists throughout each of the iPhone generations. While we have had changes in the back with the number of cameras, almost always the changes have been kept to a minimum and related to the capabilities of each model. This time, a new rumor suggests that the iPhone 17 Air will be the odd man out of the generation.
Through an image shared by the leaker known as Majin Bu, the front camera of the iPhone 17 Air will be different from the other iPhone models, according to some alleged screen protectors that will arrive for that generation. According to the image, the iPhone 17 Air’s front camera may be positioned to the left of the Dynamic Island, rather than to the right.
What would prompt this particular change? Considering previous leaks that the iPhone 17 Air will be one of the company’s thinnest smartphones, part of the internal components related to the camera will have to be readjusted, even if this makes it clash with the others.
When will the iPhone 17 be announced?
For now, there is no official date as to when we will see the iPhone 17 generation, but tradition indicates that it will be in September. At the moment, not much is known about the next model, but rumors indicate that it will feature a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, which will be an upgrade from the current 12-megapixel camera on the iPhone 16 models. We’ll have to wait a couple more months to find out if these rumors are a reality.
