Razer and World join forces to fight bots and make gaming more human
Razer will integrate World ID to ensure that every player is human and to fight cheats and bots in its ecosystem.

Razer and World have announced a strategic partnership that aims to transform the gaming experience by combating the growing presence of bots and ensuring a fairer environment. The partnership integrates World ID humanity verification technology into the Razer ID ecosystem, marking a before and after in the way gamers interact in the digital environment.
The new “Razer ID verified by World ID” feature will allow users to prove that there is a real person behind each account. This system will become a single sign-on (SSO) method for all Razer services and software, including its hardware configuration tools and rewards programs. It will also allow developers to implement “human only” game modes, promoting clean competition and a more trustworthy environment for all players.
What is World ID and how does it work?
World ID is a tool developed by World with the goal of building the largest and most comprehensive public identity infrastructure in the world. Its main function is to verify that users are human in virtual environments, ensuring that every interaction is real. The process of obtaining a World ID consists of two steps: first, users must download the World app and then go to a verification center where a high-resolution image of the eye and face is taken using the Orb. device. These images are converted into a computer code and deleted immediately after verification.
How will the World ID integrate with Razer ID?
Players will be able to link their Razer ID to the World App to create and verify their World ID. This will allow them to access exclusive game modes and ensure their authenticity within the platform. The first implementation will be in Tokyo Beast, a title set in a futuristic Tokyo where the presence of human players is central to the experience.
This feature will be available in several countries, including Australia, Austria, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and the United States, with plans to expand globally in the coming months.
