Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will not wait until 2025 to give players a new set of cards. Mythical Island is the new expansion that will be released on iOS and Android on December 17th. All About Mythical Island in Pokémon TCG Pocket: Beware of These Two Cards

We want to highlight two specific cards in the set. The first has to do with its protagonist, Mew. Its “ex” version has a spectacular attack: for just three generic Energy, you can choose an attack from your opponent’s active Pokémon to return it. Genome Hacking looks spectacular, considering it also has 130 Health.

On the other hand, Vaporeon is introduced. Eevee remains one of the most popular Pokémon, and it was only logical that Creatures would soon focus on its evolution. Vaporeon will feature a spectacular full-art card with a special ability. Wash Out reads as follows: “As often as you want during your turn, you can move 1 Water-type energy from 1 of your benched Water-type Pokémon to your active Water-type Pokémon.” As a bench power-up, it has potential. Its attack is not as powerful, with only 60 damage, but it makes up for it with the play it can give as a Leverage Card.

How do I get Mythic Island cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mythic Island cards follow the same pattern as the current expansion, Genetic Apex. You can open them by waiting for the rotation of up to two free booster packs per day, or by using booster hourglasses. It will also be possible to get individual cards through magic selections or by spending free opening points.

What will happen to the Genetic Apex Packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Rest assured, this expansion will not replace the one that has been with the game since its launch last October. You will still be able to open Genetic Apex Booster Packs for an unlimited amount of time.

How big is Mythical Island in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mythical Island is an expansion that is considered “themed”. It is a miniset of all life. It doesn’t have the variety of cards of a full set like Genetic Apex, but it’s not an event-type promotion either. The next major expansion is expected in January 2025.
