The Finnish studio surprises with two major announcements during the Xbox Partner Preview, showing how the Remedy Connected Universe is growing.

Remedy wows with Alan Wake 2: The House Lake trailer and reveals its first FPS

The Remedy Connected Universe was a major part of this morning’s Xbox Partner Preview, where the Finnish studio showed off not one, but two productions it is currently working on. Alan Wake 2 (coming soon to physical format) is set to wrap up its journey with an expansion faithful to the project’s origins. Remedy managed to turn the author’s adventure into a survival horror that conveys terror like few games in recent years. With The Lake House, its last planned content, it aims to extend these sensations by connecting with another of the games that are part of the company’s connected universe: Control.

Its latest trailer, which you can see above, is full of gore and very scary. It will arrive on PS5, Xbox X Series X|S and PC next October 22 as part of the Deluxe Edition content.

Control returns, but not in the way we expected

There’s been a lot of talk about a sequel to Control from Remedy, considering how threaded the Remedy Connected Universe has become. To close out the Xbox Partner Preview stream, a new title was shown that takes us back to the Federal Bureau of Control with the studio’s first multiplayer shooter, FBC: Firebreak.

The title is a three-player co-operative first-person shooter PVE in which “you’ll take on the roles of fearless first responders in the Federal Bureau of Control, sent to fend off paranatural threats in the dark heart of its shifting, eldritch headquarters, The Oldest House.” One thing that stands out in the Xbox Wire article about this game is that, according to game director Mike Kayatta, “FBC: Firebreak is not a Control DLC and it’s definitely not a Control sequel.”

FBC: Firebreak will be released in 2025 for the Xbox X Series X|S and Windows PC.
