Silent Hill shows itself with a glimpse of Pyramid Head!

There’s no denying that, for several years now, Konami has been working to bring the Silent Hill name back into the spotlight. From Silent Hill: The Short Message, a title that paved the way for last year’s hit remake Silent Hill 2, to the upcoming adventure scheduled for release next month, Silent Hill: f, it seems that the survival horror franchise is here to stay. Along with all these announcements, something that had been kept secret until now has also been made public: the return to movie theaters. This afternoon we received the first trailer for Return to Silent Hill, which you can see below.
Back to Silent Hill, 19 years later
The film marks the return to directing of Christophe Gans, who was responsible for the original 2006 film. Return to Silent Hill follows the story of the iconic Silent Hill 2, as revealed in its official synopsis: “When a mysterious letter calls him back to Silent Hill in search of his lost love, James finds a once-recognizable town and encounters terrifying figures both familiar and new, and begins to question his own sanity.” The film stars Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson as James Sunderland and Mary, respectively.
Return to Silent Hill was revealed just over a year ago through a making-of video, but until now, no further details had been released. For now, the film is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026.
