Robert Pattinson breaks his silence on facing the Joker in ‘The Batman 2′: “It could be”
The actor claims to still have “a vague idea” of the script and confirms filming after finishing with Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’.

The new film of Robert Pattinson, ‘Mickey 17’, arrives in theaters this Friday. While promoting it, the actor could not avoid being asked about the future of the sequel to ‘The Batman’. Pattinson wasn’t afraid to answer questions, but he was quite ambiguous about certain things, especially when it came to the script, particularly regarding the presence of the greatest antagonist in Batman’s history: the Joker.
Barry Keoghan, who plays the psychopathic clown in the original 2022 film, makes a brief cameo at the end. His gestures and expressions suggest that his presence is more likely than not, though Pattinson neither confirms nor denies this -at least publicly, since Pattinson must have some idea with the script in his hands-.

“Yes. No. I don’t know. It could be,” was the somber answer given by the actor to a question about the possibility of the Dark Knight having to face the Joker in the sequel. “I’m going to start shooting after ‘The Odyssey,’ later this year. I only have a vague idea of the script,” he said, because before ‘The Batman 2′, Pattinson will work on Christopher Nolan’s epic new film.
Pattinson’s Batman will not be canon in the DCU
Meanwhile, a few days ago James Gunn confirmed that, far from what rumors pointed out, the batverse of Matt Reeves - director of ‘The Batman’ - will not be part of his DC Universe. The rush to introduce Batman in the DCU led Gunn and Peter Safran to make that decision, but finally they assure that it will be a completely different Batman. It is known that this film will be based on the story of ‘The Fearless Batman’, and will be directed by Andy Muschietti (‘The Flash’), but the casting to become Bruce Wayne is still to be decided with multiple candidates.
