Grand Theft Auto 6, a game that has everything to be the biggest phenomenon that the video game industry has ever known. A title that everyone is talking about, and that on May 26, 2026, will turn the world upside down, and it is not for less, the Rockstar Games saga has not stopped going to more installment after installment, and this sixth installment is expected as the ultimate GTA experience. Among all its additions, one has attracted special attention and it has to do with age verification.

Renowned dataminer Tez2 has revealed that Rockstar is preparing an age verification system intending to implement it in the near future within GTA Online. This system would affect certain regions, and one of those that would be included is the United Kingdom, due to the recent online safety law.

The online future of GTA 6 and its age limitations

What happens if you can’t verify your age? If you are in one of the regions that require this check, you will be blocked from accessing certain features of GTA Online or even the game as a whole.

This is an addition that many players are not well receiving, but Rockstar incorporates to comply with legal regulations in some countries. Ultimately, it is not so much up to the video game company, but to those who dictate the laws.
