Rush mode returns in Battlefield 6... and fans say it’s the best one yet
Update:

The iconic Rush mode looks to be officially back in Battlefield 6, as early footage from the game’s alpha test has fans buzzing. Leaked gameplay, originally posted to Reddit and later shared across social media, shows off a full match of Rush in action, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

What’s in the footage?

The leak, reportedly from a Battlefield Labs alpha test, features:

  • A full Rush match on a new map called Iberian Offensive: King’s Battery
  • Classic objective-based gameplay: attackers plant explosives, defenders defuse
  • Tanks, infantry, and destructible environments in chaotic harmony
  • A grounded tone and visual style that many say feels closer to Modern Warfare 2019 than Battlefield 2042

Players praised the tight map design, team-focused pacing, and return to traditional class roles, which seem to replace the controversial specialist system from the last game.

Why fans are excited

Rush mode has long been a staple of the Battlefield franchise, known for its intense, phase-based combat and smaller, more focused maps. After its inconsistent presence in recent entries, many feared it might be sidelined again. But this new footage suggests DICE is listening—and delivering.

“They could really be cooking this time,” one fan wrote, echoing the sentiment across forums and social media.

EA has yet to officially reveal Battlefield 6, the title itself may still be a placeholder, but the game is expected to launch by March 2026. With GTA 6 delayed, some speculate EA might push for an earlier release, though the company has said it’s committed to avoiding another rushed launch like Battlefield 2042.
