Sabrina: The Pokémon TCG Pocket card that can help you win if you use it at the right time
We examine Sabrina’s strategy in Pokémon TCG Pocket, a very simple card to use, but one that can be absolutely devastating if you use it at the right time.
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, there are already several winning strategies, such as using Snorlax as a meat wall or Farfetch’d as a fast attacker. In this new guide, we are going to talk about a Supporter card that should be in every deck, due to its extraordinary effectiveness. We are talking about Sabrina, the Gym Leader of Saffron City in first-generation games. This master mentalist can bring all of her power to our decks, and if we know when to use her, we can win thanks to her main function: forcing your opponent to switch their Pokémon.
What is Sabrina’s strategy in Pokémon TCG Pocket? How do I get the card?
Sabrina is a card that can be obtained by opening Charizard Booster Packs from the Genetic Apex Set, and it comes in both regular and full art versions. If we have no luck opening booster packs, we can buy any normal copy directly with 70 Pack Point (remember that each opened booster pack gives us 5 points).
Sabrina’s strategy is as simple as it is deadly: When we use her card, it forces the opponent to exchange his active Pokémon for one from their Bench. The idea is to use this effect to put our opponent in a compromising position, which opens the door to several possibilities, such as
Sabrina’s simple but powerful effect basically has two main uses: to delay and hinder the opponent’s strategy, or to ensure victory by using it as a combo piece that allows us to force the opponent to make an unfavorable change in their active Pokémon, allowing us to attack and win the game that same turn.
Since it has no specific usage requirements other than not being able to use more than one Supporter card per turn, it is an extremely useful and necessary card in virtually any type of deck we create. This high efficiency has made Sabrina a staple in Pokémon TCG Pocket, an absolutely essential card like other already essential cards like Poké Ball and Professor’s Research. To further increase its consistency, or to allow us to use it more than once per game, we should add two copies per deck.
