Sacha Baron Cohen’s spectacular physical transformation at age 53 for Marvel: “This is not AI”

The famous actor and comedian has surprised everyone with a completely revamped and fit physique to bring the demon Mephisto to life in the MCU.

Update:

Sacha Baron Cohen, the famous British actor and comedian known worldwide for his outrageous characters such as Borat, Ali G, and Bruno, has surprised everyone with his spectacular physical transformation to play the demonic villain Mephisto in the MCU, as part of the series Ironheart, which debuted on Disney+ a month ago. At 53 years old, the actor has undergone a striking physical transformation, now sporting an enviable physique, drastically reducing his body fat percentage and gaining several pounds of muscle.

The Borat actor is now a Mephisto in top form

After the publication of the photos in Men’s Fitness UK, many believed that it was some kind of digital montage, something the actor has joked about: “This is not AI. I really am egotistical enough to do this,“ the actor wrote on his Instagram account after sharing the images that are going viral around the world. ”Debuting my new character: Middle-aged man who replaced beer with protein shakes...,” he added.

However, Sacha Baron Cohen has been open about the methods he has used to achieve this new level of fitness. “Some celebs use Ozempic and some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I did all three,” the actor confesses. Ozempic is a medication specifically indicated for diabetes that has become popular among celebrities for rapid weight loss.

As the actor recounts, Cohen has resorted to a low-sugar diet rich in fiber and protein, accompanied by a training routine of short but intense sessions. “25-minute workouts that were sustainable. Even while filming, the workouts happened. In the past, I would have thought you needed hour-long sessions.” Cohen relied on a famous Hollywood trainer, Alfonso Moretti, known as The Angry Trainer, recommended by actor Matthew McConaughey.

He looked more like a ruler—straight up and down,” explains the famous trainer about the first video call he had with the actor, during which he asked Cohen to stay in his underwear. At that moment, he knew he had an “athlete in hiding,” as years ago the actor used to practice kickboxing whenever he had the chance.

Cohen’s physical transformation during the filming of Ironheart was so dramatic that the production team had to adapt the actor’s wardrobe to his new physique, all thanks to 100 push-ups a day and short 25-minute training sessions, even during the filming of the Marvel Studios series. Ironheart is available on Disney+.
