Scary Movie 6 reveals itself in its first trailer, showing its first parodies and release date
The popular series returns to poke fun at all horror movies.

Following the recent release of ‘Scream 7,' one of the questions many of us were asking ourselves was, what happened to 'Scary Movie’? The franchise known for mocking horror movies, among others, is back, giving newer films what we all expected: a bizarre parody and the raunchiest comedy possible, with a release date: June 12. You can watch the trailer below:
The synopsis reads as follows: “Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.”
Great horror films from recent years that will be featured in ‘Scary Movie 6’
The sixth installment aims to parody recent hits in the horror genre such as Ryan Coogler’s Oscar-nominated film ‘Sinners’. Also featured is Zach Cregger’s ‘Weapons’, a modern classic of the genre that quickly won over audiences, as well as ‘A Quiet Place’, which already has three films and is more than established as a saga within modern horror.
