Science has found the most stressful game ever, and it’s from an old Nintendo franchise

Think Fortnite and Call of Duty are stressful? A new study has found that the real title of “most stressful game” ever actually goes to an older game.

Often when we play video games our heart rate changes and some people even get angry, a lot. The different editions of FIFA or EA FC, Fortnite, and Call of Duty are some examples of these games that alter us. Good proof of this are the content creators and their infamously uncontrolled anger. However, in this article we will show you what is, scientifically proven, the number 1 most stressful game of all time.

BonusFinder has carried out a study to decipher which video games most alter our heart rate. They evaluated which one generates more stress during a 30-minute session and it is true that those mentioned above occupy high positions in the classification but what surprises us most is that the one at the very top of the list is a legendary Nintendo franchise.

What is the scientifically proven most stressful video game?

In the top 10 of the ranking there are very popular titles such as Dark Souls 3, DOOM Eternal, Fall Guys, and Street Fighter, all of them with over 70 clicks. At the same time, it should be noted that the normal heart rate in a man or woman over 10 years old is between 60 and 100 beats per minute (BPM).

Other games like FIFA or Call of Duty exceed 80 beats but let’s get to what’s important, the most stressful video game proven by science is Mario Kart with up to 85 beats per minute. The legendary arcade racing game developed by Nintendo generated increases of 21 beats (average) in the heart rate of its players over the stipulated time course (30 minutes).
