One! Two! Three! Four! Scott Pilgrim is back, this time in animated form with the first teaser trailer for Netflix’s upcoming animated feature, now known as Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Check out the teaser below:

Along with the first look at this animated series, it was also revealed that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will be available on Netflix on November 17th. While it is expected to cover the graphic novel it comes from, there are still some details about the story that remain unknown, but it has been revealed that it will have 8 episodes.

An Epic of Epic Epicness

The announcement of this series should come as no surprise, as it was revealed earlier this year that Netflix has ordered an animated version based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel, with Edgar Wright, director of the live-action adaptation, serving as executive producer.

Those who are fans of the live-action movie should also expect to see some familiar voices, or maybe a lot of them, as the entire cast of the movie will be reprising their roles for this animated adaptation. This means that we will have Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Alisson Pill (Kim Pine), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil) back, Ellen Wong (Knives Chau), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Mae Whitman (Roxy Richter) and Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves) in this new series.

Scott Pilgrim is animated by Science SARU, the studio behind such animated films and series as Ride Your Wave, Japan Sinks: 2020, and two Star Wars Visions shorts. Meanwhile, Anamanaguchi, who provided the music for the video game adaptation, will contribute with new songs.
