The day has come, Xbox has officially revealed the 4 titles that will arrive to other consoles as part of their new business model. This morning full of announcements began when we had through the Nintendo Direct the announcement of Grounded and Pentiment. Later, a Bethesda video was leaked ahead of time announcing the release date of Hi-Fi Rush, and now, along with a video from their official channel, Rare has announced the upcoming arrival of Sea of Thieves on PlayStation 5.

Through a video on the official Sea of Thieves YouTube channel, Mike Chapman, Creative Director, and key members of the game’s team, talk about its arrival on PlayStation 5. Among the details addressed, it is mentioned that the game will feature cross-play, allowing users between Xbox, PC, and PlayStation to play together. It is also mentioned that this is a historic moment for the studio, as it will be the first time in Rare’s nearly 40-year history that they will release a game for PlayStation platforms.

For now, the game will have to wait a few months, as Sea of Thieves will set sail on the PlayStation 5 ocean on April 30th. The game will be available to wishlist tomorrow, February 22.

Other titles that are also coming to PlayStation

In addition to this announcement, Xbox presented more details about the 4 titles coming to other platforms through a statement on the Xbox Wire. Written by Matt Booty, President, Game Content & Studios, the statement clarifies which platforms these titles will be coming to. While Hi-Fi Rush has already been confirmed for PlayStation 5, the titles announced during the Nintendo Direct, Pentiment and Grounded, in addition to coming to Nintendo Switch, will make their debut on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 22 and April 16, respectively.
