Season 2 of ‘Frieren’ finally has a release date, and it’s set to be the best anime of 2026
The journey of Frieren, Fern, and Stark will continue next January, and fans couldn’t be more excited.

Although there are still several months to go before we say goodbye to 2025, many anime fans are already looking forward to next year so they can enjoy some highly anticipated releases. ‘Jujutsu Kaisen,’ ‘Bleach: TYBW,’ and ‘Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise’ are some of the series that will be making a grand return soon, but the one that is generating the most excitement worldwide is none other than ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.’
Madhouse studio left millions speechless with its adaptation of the acclaimed manga created by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukada Abe, and a few hours ago, it was revealed that season 2 will begin airing on January 16. As with the first season, the new episodes will premiere weekly and will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll. To celebrate the announcement, the series’ creators shared a new image of Frieren, Fern, and Stark.

Thus, 2026 will kick off with an absolutely memorable anime release schedule. In addition to ‘Frieren’, Crunchyroll, Netflix, and other streaming platforms will broadcast new seasons of acclaimed series such as ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, ‘Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku’, ‘Oshi no Ko’, and ‘Fire Force’.
