Secret Invasion, Marvel Studios’ newest Disney+ series, has just revealed a new 1 minute trailer loaded with as of yet unseen content, a new preview that you can find under these lines that shows us a direct confrontation between Nick Fury and a rogue invading faction of Skrulls. The trailer was released by Marvel Entertainment only a month of time before the launch of its first episode, with Samuel L. Jackson once again as Nick Fury, except now at the focal point of the entire story.
A new look at Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion
In addition to this new trailer, Total Film magazine offered a new exclusive article in which the director Ali Selim and producer Jonathan Schwartz talk about their new series for Marvel Studios, in addition to sharing a new image. They compared their new show with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in tone, although carrying one step further: “The first conversations I had [with Marvel] were, ‘Nobody flies in the air in the show.’”I realized, ‘Yeah, they’re doing something very different, and that’s exciting.’”
“The Winter Soldier certainly gave us a lot of confidence that we could tell a story in that space that felt more like a paranoid thriller,” continued the producer. “Secret Invasion takes that a step further, and you really get to dig into Nick. It becomes much more character-focused in a way that I really love.”
The official synopsis reads: “In Marvel Studios’ new series ‘Secret Invasion,’ set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”
Secret Invasion will release on Disney+ on June 21, 2023.
