‘Secret Level’ gets a new trailer with even more footage of its many video game adaptations
Why have one video game adaptation when you can make a whole bunch of them? The impressive-looking ‘Secret Level’ builds up the hype with a new trailer.
Prime Video has one of the most ambitious projects related to video games well on its way. A lineup of top-level actors will star in this anthology series, where each episode is dedicated to a different game series of both the past and present. And yes, that includes Concord in what will be the only remaining sign that the PlayStation game ever existed. The trailer, which you can see below, raises expectations with the series. As is expected from the studio that has given us some of the highest-quality cutscenes in gaming for decades, everything looks incredible. It will premiere on December 10 on the Amazon streaming platform.
In what will hopefully only be the first season of this anthology viewers can expect 15 “epic stories” of games and franchises such as God of War, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, Warhammer 40,000, Pac-Man, Armored Core, Dungeons & Dragons, Sifu and Mega Man, among many others. Just as well, The cast has some insane names attached to it: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keanu Reeves, Temuera Morrison, Ariana Greenblatt, Gabriel Luna, Claudia Doumit, Laura Bailey, Clive Standen, and Michael Beach. And that’s only a part of it, with more still to be revealed.
In fact, the certified greatest man on Earth, Keanu, will be the protagonist of the episode based Armored Core. There is no doubt that the license has experienced a before and after with the launch of Fires of Rubicon. The sixth main installment of the long running mecha series arrived right at the crest of the wave of From Software’s popularity, which after the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne and Elden Ring hit the industry, earning a name embroidered with gold threads in the annals of history. It is also surprising that that saga was chosen and not any of the ones mentioned.
