SEGA turns April Fools’ Day into merch with a limited Sanic T-shirt collection
The company embraces the meme with three designs available exclusively on April 1.

April Fools’ Day is a day when brands have two options: they can either use the occasion to pull off a good prank, or jump on the bandwagon and do something unique. This year, SEGA did both: first, it announced a logo that’s 3% bluer, but it also unveiled a new collection of T-shirts that pay tribute to one of its most iconic characters—and, at the same time, to one of the internet’s most famous memes: Sanic.
This collection of three T-shirts will be available exclusively today, April 1, 2026, through the official SEGA store, featuring Sanic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, and Shedew Sonic. While the designs are based on a joke, SEGA is ensuring that the product quality remains high for those looking to add these to their wardrobe. Each shirt is made from a blend of cotton and polyester and features a unisex adult fit. Because these are made-to-order items, the company will ship them immediately after the printing process is complete.
